Ouster have announced the discontinuation of the Velodyne VLP-32C Ultra Puck Sensor. They are guaranteeing supply on orders placed with them before July 31st, 2023, so to ensure this deadline is met orders must be placed with Digiflec by July 28th, 20223. Although Ouster will continue to accept orders after July 31st, they cannot guarantee supply after this date.
Any new units purchased will come with the standard one year warranty from date of shipping.
Ongoing Support for VLP-32C Units Already in The Field
The warranty for existing VLP-32C units already in the field is unaffected. Ouster will continue to provide support and respond to any issues. Firmware and sensor support will continue until December 31st, 2024. Similarly, repairs to the VLP-32C will continue to be offered until December 24th, 2024.
VLP-16 and VLS-128 Unaffected by Changes
The VLP-16 and VLS-28 are not affected by these changes, and Ouster says they are committed to the ongoing production of these units.
